Picasso’s Spices is the passion project of Kevin Pascoa, affectionately known by his friends as “Picasso” for his interest in all things creative.
Kevin created Picasso’s Spices so that bringing next-level flavors to your table is within your reach. His unique spice blends have a variety of uses. The flavors are definitive but not over-powering – they are a precise balance of seasoning to enhance the flavor of your food.
A native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and with French and Portuguese roots, Kevin grew up exposed to a style of cooking that focused on simplicity in dining with an appeal to quality and flavor. He started cooking as a child before he was tall enough to reach the top of the stove and soon realized cooking was one of his primary interests, along with playing music (he plays over 21 instruments!) and all things engineering.
After over 15 years of working in kitchens of various cuisines, including fine-dining restaurants and banquet venues, Kevin decided to take the next step in his career in the hospitality industry. However, while being accepted to the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France, the COVID-19 Pandemic hit. Kevin was literally packed and ready to move to Lyon when he learned he was not going to be permitted into France despite his dual-citizenship because of the Pandemic border-closures in Europe.
While this loss was devastating to him, he realized the entire restaurant industry was being re-imagined as a result of the Pandemic. Additionally, he discovered his true intention is to help others find passion and enjoyment in cooking at home. Picasso’s Spices is the actualization of this intention with the utmost regard to quality and specialization in regard to ingredients and preparation.
